I am a painter and mixed-media artist living in Scituate, MA with my husband, Paul. I received a BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art in 1983 and a Masters of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis on Creative Arts from Bridgewater State University in 2011. I have been making art and have been passionate about art since childhood. One of my earliest memories is of creating a box of drawings and going door to door in my neighborhood selling my work for 25 cents each. In 2023, after 30 years of teaching, I retired from a career in the public schools where I taught art to both children and adults of all ages. Teaching art gave me the opportunity to combine my commitment to art making, my love for children and my passion for the importance of quality art education within the public schools. I have shown my work locally and have received awards and recognition for both my artwork and my teaching.
